Year built - 1978 - Westerly Yacht Construction LTD (UK) by Laurent Giles
Water tank - Stainless steel 60L
Engine - Volvo Penta MD7A, 2-cylinder, 4-stroke, marine diesel engine with direct injection and seawater cooling. Last full service March 2023.
Rig - New custom-made main sail by Peter Sanders Sails, black color, half batten, dacron. All new halyards, sheets, and furling lines were bought in 2023' and kept inside the boat when not sailing. She is a sturdy boat that can sail well and balances nicely. Spinnaker, with cruising schute/sock, easy to set up and handles well. Jib, good condition, 100%. Aluminum masts and spars, stainless steel standing rigging, all checked and re-tensioned in March 2023.
Additional 2-person dinghy included which is fairly new (not often used) & plastic two oars and manual pump (Titan 2, very good pump) .
Brand new toilet installed in 2023, with new plumbing pipelines and jubilee clips. The diesel heater installed runs very well. As well as manual plug-in oil heater comes with the boat. The total person on board can fit 5, as per the boat design. There is av berth forward (2 people) with heads to starboard, the saloon table drops down and creates another double bed (2 people), and 1 more pilot berth near the cockpit for the skipper. I have sailed her with 4 people comfortably on extensive passages, and 5 on day sails with friends.
She is a bilge throat and stands on her weight nicely. She has sailed extensively across Cornish waters, Solent, and Cross-channel, to the Channel Islands, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. She has a brand new main (black, dacron, half batten), antifouled in 2022, the engine had extensive work done with a custom shaft by the previous owner. She has a stainless steel water tank (cleaned annually), teak interior, 24v running wiring to lights, nav lights, and chargers with two service and engine batteries. A fair amount of spares and nick-nacks to keep her in good shape. She does not have "modern" nav equipment, as I wanted to keep it simple and enjoy sailing.
Currently moored in Monnickendam (15min from Amst Central) mooring fees paid until April 2024, approximate cost per year 950EU.
Excellent boat to start on the water with friends and family, enjoy cruises as well as further field sails. More photos on request.
Reason for sale - planning to upgrade to a larger.
