Arie, a classic Dutch Sloep (5 Metres) made of polyester, is easy to maintain, robust, and lightweight. The design is made to cut through the water without making big waves. Is it ready to sail – we still use it and the only reason to sell is that we bought a new sloep.

The boat is equipped with a SAAB 10HP Diesel engine that, although quite old, is virtually indestructible and very economical – one tank will last the whole summer.
The sloep comes with a brand-new battery and a new and potent bilge pump, so you never need to scoop water after forgetting to cover the boat over a rainy day! It has a hand-made tiller that looks great and makes steering the boat a very pleasant experience.

The interior is equipped with three seats – two up front and one in the rear which fit 6 adults. At the centre of the boat, the engine is covered with a box that is used as a table – although is not the most comfortable still fits two more people seating at the edge.

All the seats have custom-made pillows which makes it very comfortable.

The accessories include a swimming ladder and an anchor that will make it easy to stop by the lake (we often go to the Nieuwe Meer) for swimming or fishing, 2x cup holders (installed), a parasol (installed), a small cool box, a light pole, a flagpole and a few pillows stored in the front of the boat.

We have replaced one of the deck boards recently (dark grey) and the other ones are in reasonable condition. One of the boards needs a small wood filling repair which we recommend doing at the end of the summer.

The boat has new 2023 antifouling bottom paint and comes with the 2023 permit, red vignet for Amsterdam. This can be transferred to your name by the end of the year, which gives you the extension period 2025-2030 to enjoy Arie in the city center even though it’s a diesel engine.

Between the new antifouling, Amsterdam vignet, new battery, new bilge pump, new tiller (helmstok) and repairs we spent around €1500 on the boat this season so you won't need to spend any money for a few seasons.

Arie has 2 covers. The summer one needs repairing though.
