We have a great and challenging opportunity for a Geoenvironmental Engineer to be located in Terneuzen, the Netherlands. As Geoenvironmental Engineer, you will provide specialized technical support and solutions for project teams, operations and maintenance. Furthermore, you will act as the interface between Engineering and Remediation.
What will be your responsibilities?
Investigations and Interpretation of Soils and Groundwater, plus monitoring resultsConsulting, Recommendation and Design support for Sites and Projects on:
Deep and Shallow Foundation SystemsTraditional and Environmental Piling (driven, helical, sheet, micro)Soil Improvement / stabilizationSlope StabilityEarthen ContainmentGroundwater Management and Dewatering DesignsDrainage systemsContainment
Managing impacted soil and groundwater during civil projectsInterface of Regulatory, Technology, and Innovation Emphasis on soil and groundwater remediation projectsProviding advice in relation DutchEuropean Regulation (PGS29)Development of engineering scope, design parameters, and associated technologyEngagement with external consultants to scope deliverables, develop performance criteria, review designs, and ensure designs and recommendations are not overly conservativeConstruction support including excavation safety, (impacted) groundwater management, crane matting, and subsurface utility interfaceSupport development of best practices for global and regional geotechnical design at the interface of Dow Engineering and Remediation
Functie-eisen
A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with significant Geotechnical and related environmental experience is required.A minimum of 8 years of experience including engineering soils investigation, design, infrastructure, drainage and construction field inspectionA master’s in civil/Geotechnical is preferred with experience in soil and groundwater remediation and associated regulatory standardsProfessional Engineering License and/or certification is preferred.Excellent interpersonal & communication skillsFluent in Dutch and English is requiredExperience with CROW
