Optibay allows you to replace the optical drive in your laptop (Macbook or PC), for a second hard drive. It works also in the Apple Mac Mini. It is brand new never used.
That way, if you want to install a SSD in your laptop, you don't need to buy a expensive big ssd, because you can keep the current traditional hard drive for data storage, and use a small SSD for the operating system and the applications. With this accesory you can install up to 2Tb in your laptop.
You will have the best of both systems, without the high cost of a large SSD.

Works with any MacbookPro or Mac Mini that has an optical drive, from 2008 onwards. It doesn't work with macbooks that have no optical drive, for example, the MacBook Air, or the new MacBook Pro retina.
