As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining piping systems onboard ships. Working in a dynamic environment, you will collaborate with a team of professionals to create high-quality ship installations. Your main responsibilities will include:
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.Fabricating, cutting, bending, and assembling pipe sections according to specifications.Connecting pipe sections using welding, soldering, or mechanical fittings.Installing and securing pipelines onboard ships.Checking for leaks and performing pressure tests.Performing maintenance and repairs on existing piping systems.Adhering to safety regulations and maintaining a safe working environment.
