Functieomschrijving
As Project Leader you are part of the engineering team, which has the prime responsibility to execute the site capital investment program.
In this role you are responsible for managing multiple projects from the feasibility phase to start-up supported by a multidisciplinary team.
The projects range from large investment projects and innovations to smaller modifications in process installations, buildings and infrastructure. You ensure that the project is executed safe, on time and within budget, whilst meeting the applicable quality requirements, laws and regulations and all requirements.
• Manage projects with top-down oversight from feasibility to start-up phase to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of safety, scope, budget, and timeline.
• Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation and start-up.
• Communicate proactively with all stakeholders to update on progress and escalate delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes tied to critical project milestones.
• Convert process design options into project cost estimate to enable investment decisions.
• Prepare technical specifications for civil, steel and mechanical works and conduct technical bid evaluation and supplier clarification meetings.
• Lead multi-disciplinary project teams and initiate and coordinate technical reviews with end users and maintenance.
• Supervise field construction activities together with the site construction supervisor.
• Project hand-over to manufacturing and maintenance organization.
• Participate in technical discussions on requests of manufacturing and maintenance department.
Functie-eisen
• Bachelor or academic degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience in the chemical/process industry or Engineering company related experience.
• Excellent team player with great adaptability, optimism and a proactive attitude.
• Good personal communication and social skills, customer-oriented and pro-active.
• Well-developed analytical skills, easy decision maker and tenacious in achieving results.
• Good planner and organizer with high stress tolerance.
• Excellent and skilled communicator in Dutch and English.
• Experience with design, setup, field verification, installation and troubleshooting in a, preferably, industrial environment. You have knowledge of technical systems and are able to solve technical issues.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and lead multidisciplinary projects.
