Key duties include, but are not limited to;
Being responsible for the delivery of the project from initial concept through close out, including budgeting, planning, contract negotiation, permitting, and construction. Meeting deliverable objectives.Defining project elements and scope, develops bid documents and providing direct project management oversight by working with consultants, staff, tenants, and other project stakeholders.Developing and maintaining relationships with contractors to assist with project activities, as appropriate, and ensuring the contractor adherence to safety programs and insurance requirements.Monitoring project control activities including contract administration, construction schedule, project cost, construction document interpretations, project submittals and RFIs. Monitoring project budgets, preparing cost projections, and as required, providing periodic status reports.Reviewing and approving of contractor and consultant payment applications, changing orders, and requesting for substitution.Monitoring project costs to ensure they are within the authorized budgets and delegated authorities.Managing construction activities as they impact stakeholders and facility operations to ensure continuity of operations during construction.Negotiating and reviewing proposals submitted by consultants/contractors and recommends awards.Reviewing consultant work products to ensure deliverables meet project scope requirements and as requested, summarizing and transmitting to te management team.Keeping project databases, payment systems, and project files up-to-date.Proactively partnering with the development community and other key stakeholders to create mutually beneficial results on all Port development.Providing technical assistance to the Contracts Administrator in obtaining and administering grant awards for assigned projects.Responding to project general inquiries including those from other departments, tenants, consultants, project stakeholders and government partners and regulators.

Engineering Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum 10 years’ experience in project managementProven affinity with civil construction projects, ideally infrastructure and portsRecognized constructie or design qualification (or similar experience)Fluent Dutch and English language skillsFlexible to travel and able to divide time between home, office and client sitesHSSE Leadership skillsConfident and capable individual with strong client focus, able to operate and grow a performing teamStrong interpersonal, communication and presentation skillsA leading example in compliance and ethicsConfident and capable individual with strong client focusStrong track record in delivering projects in a fast moving and challenging environmentAbility to work under pressure to tight dead-linesGood grasp of IT, particularly Excel and WordValid driving licence
