Berths. For 12 in four cabins ex-saloon.


Type. Fast ocean-going cruiser.


Remarks. A quality yacht with a fine pedigree and excellent sailing performance, comprehensively equipped and in truly outstanding condition.


Construction.
Built by Southern Ocean Shipyard of Poole, UK, with GRP hull and coach roof, and grp deck with endcore balsa sandwich, all overlaid with 20mm Burmese teak decks (new 2007, see notes).
Fin keel with encapsulated ballast. Wheel steering.
In 2007 the hull was stripped back to grp (zero osmosis was present) and allowed to dry for 4 months, she was then given three full coats of epoxy resin and 6 coats of Jutamastic 87 epoxy paint.


Machinery.
Ford Lehman 380D 6 cylinder diesel engine, 124 hp, 1984. Mated to Borg Warner 2/1 gearbox. Fully rebuild September 2019. Zero hours.
Very regularly serviced and well maintained including new starter motor (2018), 2 x alternators (2016), complete sea-water hosing replacement including raw water pump (2018), heat-exchanger overhaul and fuel delivery system replacement (2018).


Tankage.
2 x GRP fuel tanks, total capacity 1200 litres. Built in plexiglass inspection ports.
2 x GRP water tanks, total capacity 2250 litres.
2 x GRP grey water holding tanks with auto pump-out.
2 x GRP black water holding tanks with contents gauges (new 2006) and switchable pump out


Rig and Sails.
Ketch rigged with triadic (new 2005)
All S/S standing rigging replaced in 2018.
Most running rigging replaced in 2016 including mooring lines and guard rail.
Fully battened slab reefed main (new 2016) and mizzen (new2013) with boom bags (new 2016) and lazy jacks.
New stay sail (new2018)
Roller furling genoa on Furlex roller furling gear (2001)
Detachable inner forestay.
Hydraulic main boom vang.
Sail inventory includes a mizzen staysail and a spinnaker.


All winches (17 in total) are Lewmar, mostly self-tailing and including Lewmar 65 electric powered primaries. All have been stripped, re-chromed, overhauled and fully serviced in 2007.


Accommodation
Owners stateroom after with large size double plus pilot berth. Large en-suite heads with shower and toilet.
Two identical guest cabins, each with retracting lower double berth and folding upper single, and en-suite heads with shower and toilet.
New mattresses in the stateroom and two guest cabins (new2018)
For’ard triple berth cabin. This cabin can be separated form the other quarters with access through the forward hatch - thus is ideal as a crew cabin.
