This made in Japan Sony ICD-V21 is an IC memo recorder designed for fun, but also capable of fulfilling a serious function. Only 48 grams in weight, the Voice Balloon is extremely easy to use and has a funky modern design. At the same time it is stylish and unobtrusive. Nearly round in shape, the recorder measures just 6 cm in diameter and will sit comfortably inside a suit pocket. Sony is targeting people who do not yet regularly use memo recorders or those who use conventional recorders only for notes and reminders. It will thus complement the micro and compact cassette recorders that are currently on the market.
