Event Hotels exploiteert in totaal meer dan tachtig hotels in Nederland, Duitsland en Italië. Doordat veel hotels in bekende toeristische steden liggen zijn de hotels naast de zakelijke markt en de congresmarkt, ook uitermate geschikt voor een vakantie of een weekendje weg. Dat doen we met een selectie van bekende internationale hotelmerken, zoals Mercure, Ibis, Novotel, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn en Bilderberg.
In Nederland hebben we op dit moment 25 hotels onderverdeeld in binnen 3 separate Franchise formules; IHG, Bilderberg en Accor.
De 11 hotels binnen de Accor franchise formule bestaan uit; Mercure Groningen Martiniplaza, Mercure Amsterdam-West, Mercure Hotel Zwolle, Mercure Nijmegen Centre, Ibis Utrecht, Ibis Rotterdam Vlaardingen en Ibis Den Haag Scheveningen. Novotel Rotterdam Schiedam, Novotel Breda, Novotel Eindhoven en Novotel Maastricht, twee IHG branded hotels zijn de Crowne Plaza Amsterdam-Schiphol en Holiday Inn Amsterdam, 12 Bilderberg hotels en tot slot 10 boutique hotels in Wenen, Praag, Londen, Parijs, Barcelona, Munchen, Budapest en Boekarest.

Job Description
Who are we?
Within EVENT Hotels various hotel portfolios are being managed. At this moment it concerns 71 hotels. These hotels are from different hotel brands and vary from 3 star hotels to 5 star hotels with a total of 12.101 rooms. In addition, various services are provided to the hotels including Property Management. The Property Manager is part of this platform and has a centralized position within the company.
Who are you?
You are able to work independently (s.a. project based working) and have good knowledge on how to guide clients/hotels in a professional manner during the execution of your work. You regularly consult with various parties and disciplines where you maintain the overview and ensure quality control.
You will check work activities/proceedings, schedules and (capex) budgets. You will report on progress to the Director of Property & Project Management based in Germany.
Preparation and implementation of (renovation) capex projects within budget and planning objectives
Determining and advising on the management of all building-related installations within the organization
Determining the priorities for maintenance and replacement (where necessary) of various installations;
Regarding the Technical Service in all hotels:
Indirectly functional management of the TS teams
Providing support to the general manager and the technical service staff
To act as a sparring partner
When necessary, temporary replacement of the head of technical service in one of the hotels
Supervise compliance with:
The safety and working conditions regulations
Relevant laws and regulations e.g. fire safety, European Energy Directive
Legionella management and coordination within the entire organization
Setting up / maintaining energy (saving policy) and taking initiatives for both technical and operational saving measures
All maintenance and technical management contracts (including exterior painting and replacement of roofs)
Implementation and preventive control of the maintenance program for all locations
Supporting hotels with regard to all local maintenance contracts (compliance, advice on outsourcing issues, own management etc.)
Quotation assessment and negotiating with suppliers
Other work, related to the above, commissioned by the Director of Property & Project Management
Job Requirements
What qualities do we require?
You know your way around Germany, since you will be travelling throughout the country
Since speaking, writing and reading in German is mandatory, we could test you for these qualities
Ability to travel a minimum of 3 days per week in, to and from Germany
Office based either in Amsterdam or Cologne
